-Osaka Aquarium "Kaiyukan"

Kaiyukan is one of the largest aquariums in the world. It is located near Osaka Bay.

You can walk through the aquarium watching 16 tanks which contains various marine life.
The theme of the aquarium is "Rinf of Fire" of the Pacific Ocean.
The main display is whale sharks in the largest tank holding 5400 cubic metres of water.
The glass used for the tank doesn't look thick but it is about 30 cm.

Business hours: 10:00-20:00 (depends on the day)
Admission fee: 2300 yen

Next closed day falls on January 8 and 9 in 2014.

It is recommended that you spend more than one hour,
